LPAC Foundation Awards Community Performing Arts Grants

University of Antelope Valley Gives $25,000 in Support of Arts for Youth Program

Marco and Sandra Johnson, founders of the University of Antelope Valley and The Marco and Sandra Johnson Foundation have contributed $25,000 to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation. 

 

Mr. Johnson said, “Exposing children to the arts at an early age can possibly open their eyes and imagination to a world that they may not have known existed.” 

Mrs. Johnson said, “Being involved with dance from a very early age has undoubtedly played a key role in my approach and outlook as it relates to expressing myself in both my personal and professional life.”  >more

US Bank Awards $10,000 Grant for Arts for Youth

Lancaster, CA. November 9, 2015 –  Today, the City of Lancaster’s Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Foundation announced U.S. Bank’s award of a $10,000 grant to the foundation. This is the third award U.S. Bank has granted the Foundation to provide educational and inspirational experiences to K-12 students across the Antelope Valley through the Lancaster Performing Arts Center’s Arts for Youth program.  >more

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Foundation has awarded $5,000 in community performing arts grants for the 2014-2015 performance season. Now in its eighteenth year, the program provides annual production funding to community performing arts organizations. "Since 1996, the LPAC Foundation has supported local performance groups with the resources they need to continue bringing high quality entertainment and culture to the children, youth, adults and families of the Antelope Valley” said Steven Derryberry, LPAC Foundation Board President. The recipients of the grants are: Antelope Valley Ballet, Antelope Valley Community Concerts Association, Cedar Street Theatre and the Lancaster Community Orchestra.
